Why Italy

I have Schengen vissa to Italy covered from 12/12/2007 till 25/01/2008 single entry,can i go on 22/01/2008?

duration of stay is 30 days and iwant to stay 20 days starting from 22/01/2008

1. Prolly, Italians don't check visas that often, and if you're American you can just say you're a tourist after that, but why not go during your visa period
2. If you go on the 22 you can only stay 3 days
3. ask in the questura.why risk and do someting illegal?
4. Legally, yes, as long as you leave on or before 23/01/08. Will not give you your 20 days, but it would be legal.
5. What is your visa for? If you are american you don't need one, you have 90 days on your passport as a tourist.
6. You can go, but you will have to leave on or before 25/01/2008. You may also be asked to prove that you will leave Europe in time, so if you have a return ticket, be prepared to show it.
