What is the best way to get around in Spain and Italy?
We have 10 days in Italy and a few days in Spain. Want to s ee more of Italy this time. Can we manage without a tour guide? We have travelled a lot (but not in Europe) and is a family of 6, ages 22-61. Any suggestions on where to fly in from USA to keep the airfare low? We will be flying from ATL and Boston and meeting up in Italy.

- Buy a good map, and use the metro and bus service. You should be able to speak the language though. Not alot of natives are willing to speak english, even if they know it
- Once in Europe rent a car
- From Italy you can take very cheap flights to Spain. Take a look 2 companies as vueling.com ryanair.com clickair.com All of them have great deals, depending season, but great connections to Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Malaga. 2nd option is bus / train connection from Milan, closest biggest italian city 2 Spain and by sea you can take Grimaldi Ferries from Geneve or Monaco. Enjoy Spain!
