are there serious agencies to help me to obtain a VISA?
Hi i'm 35 single italian software developer and i'd like to move to the States, do you know the links to serious agencies to obtain a VISA?How much cost the service?How many possibilities? Thanks in advance and happy new year Thanks for your answers but is it possible to obtain a VISA if i share the costs with a company?Is a there a deadline to submit the request(in some sites i read last october 1st for the 2008!!!)

- find a sponsor. that would be by emailing or talking to someone in the sort of software branch that you specialize in. Once someone decides to give you a job, take the letter to the local US Consulate and start the visa process. There are a few hoops you have to jump through, but as a professional, the process is a lot easier than simply applying without a sponsor or pre-arranged job. As for cost, the company may elect to help out on expenses. if not, you're looking at transportation costs, medical exams, fees, etc., but it's not likely to be over $1000 for everything, and really likely to be half that. Another way to get a foot in the door, is to obtain a trade visa that will allow you to attend a convention in the USA, and that will allow you to sell yourself to companies that exhibit. As most US Americans cannot speak a foreign language, there is a lot of 'thirst' to hire bi-linguals in many areas, including government jobs.
