- Get a tape and sit and listen for hours. Maybe leave it on while your asleep.
- practice practice practice
- immersion, go live in italy for 6 months.
- find an italian boyfriend?
- The best way, by far, to learn any language is to spend time in the country.
- GO TO ITALY! Believe me - it would be impossible for you not to learn Italian. Realistically, you will never speak Italian perfectly if you are learning the language as an adult.
- get an italian grandmother who beats you any time you speak english in front of her.
- the easiest way is to live in italy - the next best way is to learn *every* *single* day - without any excuses :D
- Hi there Seriously the best way to learn italian is to get a tape and listen to it on way to work whilst cooking etc and have a basic general knowledge (which i think you said you did) then the BEST way to learn is to GO TO italy. Its an amazing place! Love it so much. I wasnt fluent then i went for a week last summer and again in Feb and its amazing how much you pick up without realising. BUT be careful... a lot of different areas use different words. .like us the difference between Scottish and American i guess.. if that makes sense, If your from uk... i got the Buonjourno Italia book and tape from Borders for £13... really good
- Apparently the easiest and most effective way, would be to move there. Saying that, get a partner who is Italian, or socialise with Italians.
- I can tell you.. when my girlfriend came to Italy for 1 year, she still sounded as a stranger afterward. Master the language is not hard, you could go for some teaching softwares (rosetta stone is cool for a fast and easy shower of well known statements), but the best way to "sound" italian is to listen to your own voice. It's difficult though... Good luck
- the way I learn different languages is to be around the people, and to listen to their radio stations, and repeat what they say, trying to pronounce it like they do....also a good book on verbs is a must :) good luck!!! ciaooooo
- speak with me and I correct you, I'm italian
