  1. Get a tape and sit and listen for hours. Maybe leave it on while your asleep.
  2. practice practice practice
  3. immersion, go live in italy for 6 months.
  4. find an italian boyfriend?
  5. The best way, by far, to learn any language is to spend time in the country.
  6. GO TO ITALY! Believe me - it would be impossible for you not to learn Italian. Realistically, you will never speak Italian perfectly if you are learning the language as an adult.
  7. get an italian grandmother who beats you any time you speak english in front of her.
  8. the easiest way is to live in italy - the next best way is to learn *every* *single* day - without any excuses :D
  9. Hi there Seriously the best way to learn italian is to get a tape and listen to it on way to work whilst cooking etc and have a basic general knowledge (which i think you said you did) then the BEST way to learn is to GO TO italy. Its an amazing place! Love it so much. I wasnt fluent then i went for a week last summer and again in Feb and its amazing how much you pick up without realising. BUT be careful... a lot of different areas use different words. .like us the difference between Scottish and American i guess.. if that makes sense, If your from uk... i got the Buonjourno Italia book and tape from Borders for £13... really good
  10. Apparently the easiest and most effective way, would be to move there. Saying that, get a partner who is Italian, or socialise with Italians.
  11. I can tell you.. when my girlfriend came to Italy for 1 year, she still sounded as a stranger afterward. Master the language is not hard, you could go for some teaching softwares (rosetta stone is cool for a fast and easy shower of well known statements), but the best way to "sound" italian is to listen to your own voice. It's difficult though... Good luck
  12. the way I learn different languages is to be around the people, and to listen to their radio stations, and repeat what they say, trying to pronounce it like they do....also a good book on verbs is a must :) good luck!!! ciaooooo
  13. speak with me and I correct you, I'm italian
