Where in Italy should I go?
I seriously want to go to Italy this summer. Last year, I went for a week's vacation in Venice. It was really beautiful, and I kind of want to go there again but I don't want to limit myself to one place. I was thinking about going to Florence for one week and then the next week I would go back to Venice. Can anybody recommend other places in Italy (North/Central/South) that would make for a nice vacation?

- Try going into the alpine region north of Venice. There are some nice towns there like Verona. You could also go to the Istria Region of Croatia, and you could drive around the Slovenian coast. There's a nice resort town on the Slovenian coast called Portoroz. Bear in mind, though, that it is pretty small!
- Try Salento in the south
- you should go to rome. its amazing there. also along the way you should see pisa and pompeii personally my favorite place in all of italy is assissi. its a very cute town, it was the home of st. francis if you are religious and there is two beautiful churches. there is also a hiking trail and a fort that gives you the most breathtaking view. and lots of cute shopping and restaurants to me it really showed me what a typical italian village is like and it showed a real flavor of the country really all of sicily is beautiful! theres also like milan and naples which are bigger cities. and if you get way to the south you could always see syracuse there's a lot of history there.
- I live in Italy, I recommend to you Roma, Napoli, costa Amalfitana, and Sicilia
- If you’ve “only” a week, I’d land in Rome, where I’ve been living for years, dedicate this unique town three days, one for the Vatican, one for Ancient and Baroque Rome and one for shopping, then move on to Florence for another two, and fit Siena, San Gimignano or Perugia in between. Next time go to the Costa Amalfitana, Sorrento and Capri and the following time to Sicily. Should you, instead, decide to limit your stay to North Italy, Ferrara is a Mediaeval jewel, along with Parma and Reggio. Take your time and sip Italy in, drop by drop. Buone Ferie
- Go to the Italian riviera: Porto Fino, Camogli, Nervi, Cinque Terre. Anyone of them. You will not regret it. http://www.rivieraligure.it/citta.php?CL=44
