The people who gave Buffon the Lev Yashin award must have slept through the Italy-France game. You agree?

OK he jumped the wrong way on EVERY SINGLE penalty kick, including Zidane's Italy were very VERY lucky not to have gotten embarrased by France Of course Trezeguet would miss, after all he Buffon's teammate on Juventus --- just giving Buffon some favors I guess AND Buffon was cheering when Trezeguet missed even though he jumped the wrong way

1. True, True. I love France and Zizou. But I hate Materazzi, Buffon and Italy. France should of won the World Cup in so many ways. But I don't have time to list them all. France actually won if you think about it, after the re-match they had. The only reason Italy won was because the referee backed Italy up.
2. Well I agree.To be fair I would'nt criticize a goalie for jumping the wrong way.Still there were better efforts than Buffon's
3. could you guess a professional player's kick? i highly doubt it. anyway, the lev yashin award is not only about the final, its about the whole tournament. did u see the save buffon pulled against ur hero zidane's header? or were u sleeping during that? and during the rest of the tournament, like against germany? errrrrr get ur facts straight kid
4. I think the Lev Yashin wasn't just based on the WC final performance but overall during the tournament. If it's on me I'll pick Lehmann, he helped Germany had clean sheet for several games but Germany was unlucky against Italy. Again, I guess the award panel already rate all GK with the statistics and performance and the fact that Italy won no matter how lucky they are.
5. fatto_in_napoli got that 100% right. Let's see you try to be standing in Buffon's position when there are five million people watching from around the world! How are you gonna know which way the ball is gonna go? You don't!!!!!! There is so much pressure on the goalie during a shoot out! The reason Buffon won because he is an outstanding goalkeeper he didn't let one goal in except the own goal. His saves were simply amazing. If Lev Yashin who ever the hell that is.. is better then Buffon in your case why didn't he save any goals from going in? I think your jealous! Buffon deserved it NO matter what! & of course Buffon would be cheering when he knows they have a bigger chance of winning the world cup! I sure as hell would be cheering too!
