Why Italy

I am in my early 40s, still single. I have some saving, should I persuit my Italian or for my .....?

To speak a fluent italian is my dream, as my late-grandpa was Italian. But my father speaks poor Italian as he is not Italian but my mother was, but she had passed away while I was a small child. Save for my retirement will seem a right thing to do at my age. Pls help.

  1. It sounds as though you are weighing your desire to speak Italian against the fact that it would take money out of your retirement fund. It should certainly be possible to learn better Italian without seriously depleting your retirement savings, however. If you speak Italian at present, perhaps you should consider going to live in Italy for a time; if you can find a job there with your particular professional skills, and have enough fluency to work, your language skills would be improved in very short order. If your skills are not sufficient to work there, then I would certainly check into classes or computer programs that could teach you. I highly recommend Rosetta Stone (online) as a good source for language learning. Buona fortuna!
