Are Mexican Men difficult to DATE & control emotionally? Please tell me how to deal with this situation below.

I recently met and have fallen for a SEXY Mexican guy. I thought he was Italian or Puerto Rican. He's very exotic looking. I've never dated a Mexican man before. He's gorgeous. He reminds me of Derek Jeter (baseball player) I'm used to dating Italian, German, or Jewish Men who let me totally control them emotionally & sexually. Anyway, for some reason, he seems to be the boss. He will say I'm calling you this afternoon and it will be that nite. He will say I will come over at 7 and he calls me and is running late dealing with whatever & who knows. Its always something and I hate it but then its like when we are intimate I forget about it all. I hate this. Are Mexican men difficult to deal with dating wise?? Should I break it off with him? I don't like someone controlling me. I want to end it because I need a submissive type. He is really quiet and doesn't talk that much but its how he takes over my whole entire being without saying a word.

2. In Mexico/Latin America, lateness is normal. It isn't disrespect, they just don't let the clock run their lives like we North Americans or Europeans do. You might have a problem with getting him to be submissive (NEVER EVER EVER think that men should or must always be submissive, just as you wouldn't want to be controlled, neither do we), Latin American men tend to have a major machismo. Its a cultural thing.
3. When he is late, wear something sexy, get him into the bedroom and use a belt on his bare bottom.
