Why Italy
need some info for travelling to europe: rome,italy,turkey,paris,..?
ill be travelling to rome, italy, istanbul turkey, paris, london, greece next month (april). where is actually santiago? is capri island nice? i heard its nice.. but whats there actually? important::anybody knows whats the weather there for EACH country/city? is it cold or hot? are the shops open till late? are the ppl friendly? especially in france, i heard that they dont really like to speak english? so what do i do? sorry for asking so many questions, but pls answer as many as u can :) thx a lot for the infos!! ill be travelling with tour from asia, mix planes and buss i guess.. ill be travelling with tour from asia, mix planes and buss i guess..

- So many questions. You don't say whether you are on a tour bus or renting a car or traveling by train. People are usually friendly. In the bigger towns you will find the universities and usually English. We are going into Spring. Warm with sudden rain showers. We can usually pick out an American by their shoes. Americans wear flimsy shoes, unsuitable for walking. Capri was the luxury resort of the Roman Ceasars, surf the web. Stores close at 8pm usually open 8:30-9am. Bakeries sell coffee a little earlier. Germany is closed on Sunday. If you really need something like a snack, a drink, the gas stations are where to go. Bathrooms are rather few. Know that any restaurant should be willing to let you stop and use. Be prepared to walk. That means carrying whatever you bring or buy. That means having a coat or umbrella when you need it. Lastly, take time to enjoy a sidewalk cafe in the sunlight somewhere. Don't just drive by it all shooting pictures out the window.
- santiago is in Chile (different continent). Dont go to London without a jacket or more. Italy and Greece- you will probably wear shorts. London, Paris , and Rome are huge with open hours late into the night. Not sure about Greece or Turkey. We were not treated rudely in Paris, but we did not go to any place fancy either. I would suggest that you buy a guide book. Look for Rick Steve's guide books on amazon.com
- Hi, I am living in Istanbul, so I will say just for Istanbul, Turkiye. Istanbul is safe city like the other city. In April for Istanbul, The weather is very nice, not too much rain, not too much cold, the sun is shining, you can see. Generally, just only small shops is closed on Sunday, other days, all shopping area open between 10:00 - 22:00 ( I mean Akmerkez, Capitol is the biggest shopping area, you can find everything at this area. - By the way, Old Pazar (Kapalıcarsi) is closed on Sunday.) Turkish People is very hospitable, you can ask anything, if you want. English is not problem at this area, everyone can be speak and understand you. All of them helps for you. - Do you mean Santorini? If so, that's an island in Greece and it's beautiful. Capri is nice, but very expensive, jet set crowd. In some places in Greece, Italy, shops close in afternoon and then reopen around 5 or 6pm. People are friendly in France or wherever you go, when you are friendly to them. Paris gets a bad rep, but Parisians are city people and sometimes city people (like NYC) can come across as rude, but they really aren't. Try to learn as many of the polite phrases as you can before you go to each country (please, thank you, good morning, etc go a long way).
