Why Italy

What Italian singers would you suggest to learn Italian?

A friend of mine learnt Italian by listening to Italian music 24/7, especially a singer called "Giorgia". Now she perfectly speaks Italian and teaches it in Central London. Now, I have a friend of mine (a girl) who wants to learn Italian. I'm teaching her a bit of grammar, but I'd like to try with this music-learning. What do you think about it? Now the question is: what Italian artists (R&B especially, she's into that kind of music) would you suggest me to put in a CD and give her? Please let me know, the best one will get 11points sure! (10 points for best answer + 1 point for thumb-up)

  3. try zucchero, though it's not R'n'B
  4. there arent many r&B artists that are italian,so i'd suggest something like Eros Ramazzotti. is not that bad to learn from him. or Elisa. she's not bad either. remember to get songs that are italian, and not in any italian dialect like the very old songs.
  5. i prefer tiziano ferro and luca carboni!!!!!!
  6. Pavarotti CDs only a tennor..lol
  7. Giorgia, Laura Pausini, Eros Ramazzotti, Elisa, these are good to learn Italian, they speak very clearly and make great songs. I would not suggest R&B music, as it would be spoken too fast... and Italians are not that good in R&B! I'm telling this as I am Italian! CIAO!
  8. Tiziano Ferro!! He is great!!All girls love him!! Also NEK!!!Also check a group called Negramaro. I don't know any Italian R&B singers. I think the R&B style is just sung in English. Italians singers are famous for their balands or love songs, even though Tiziano and NEK also have fast songs. My favourite album is from Tiziano Ferro, his last album, "Nessuno รจ solo" is called. Best of luck!!! I'm sure your cd will be great and she will love it!
