- It could be true to some who stick to thier own ethnicity. But,there are exceptions.
- "Is it true italian/sicilian men only stay with their own?" Dont' I wish...my ex husband is Italian...I'm Greek/Irish/Scottis/American Indian. I do know that he was controling, verbally, mentally and emotionally abusive with a mean temper and was becoming physically abusive...hence the reason he is my ex. He now has a girlfriend who is Swedish, Mexican.
- Hi, I'm not Sicilian nor Italian, but I live in Italy. I have never heard of this in my 8 years living in Italy. Yes, some Italians prefer marrying other Italians, but there is no written or un-written law saying they can not marry foreigners. It's more of a personal taste and choice. I think your ex husband is just extremely jealous and needs psychiatric help....I'm very sorry you have to put up with all of this.
- Italian American seems to be more conservative, I think a lot more conservative, compared to Italian living in Italy (like myself), where the reply to your question would be "ABSOLUTELY not!". So, are you talking about Italian born and grown-up in Italy or outside? Anyway, the best reply is the one you gave to yourself at the end of your question, just that plain.
