- Hi, I'm an American living in Italy. Well, Italians are just like any other men living in any other part of the world. Some are really nice and some are complete a-holes. I would say use your instinct, see how he treats you when he's around his friends and family, does he only want sex, etc? If you met him 3 days ago, and he tells you he loves you he probably doesn't. Just takes things slow. Hugs.
