- Hi Mario,,,, I suggest you fly easyjet to Florence and check it out,,, for a couple of days and take a train to Rome and check it out even for a day,,you can see a lot.... The train goes there from Florence early in the AM,, so you can get a good start..... Watch the pick pockets in Rome,,, they are Good !!! no kidding... good luck
- Rome by air or you can take an overnight trian to Venice.
- why don't try with milan i think! Regards to the flight and hotels try with travelocity they have great packegs and last minutes offer. Happy trip buddy!
- Venice is so crowded in summer, if I were you, I would go to Venice in late autumn or early spring. Try visiting Rome, I don't agree that one day is enough. I stayed there for 3 days and it was still not enough. Going to Florence is a good idea too. If you like art, Ufizzhi is a must to visit. However, the city is very pleasant itself. If you want to see as much as possible, spend 2 days in Rome and 2 days in Florence. As for me I bought a ticket my city - > Venice, Rome -> my city. It didn't cost me a euro more that the ticket my city --> Venice--> my city would cost. Inside the country I travelled by train, which was very comfortable and fast.
- I'd suggest you fly to Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) for your 4-day trip. Read our non-commercial Italy travelogues for ideas: http://www.thetravelzine.com Enjoy!
- Rome! Venice is dirty and 99% of the people are tourists. Its picturesque, but if you seen one old building, you seen them all. Rome has a variety. Alot of great things to see and its clean. And safe.
- If you wish to visit Italy in 4 days for the first time you can choose Rome as the italian most representative city. You can fly low cost to fiumicino with air berlin, to ciampino with ryanair and easyjet.
- easyjet.com ryanair.com volareweb.com Between those sites, you will definitely get a cheap flight. Of the three, I would choose Rome. There is simply more to do, more people. Rome airports: If you're lucky, you may be able to fly into Fiumicino and take a train into the city. Otherwise, you can fly into Ciampino and take the big bus. Venice would be my next choice. There are no differences in the prices of the cities once you are actually there. Obviously, if you want to avoid high prices, then you should avoid tourist spots.
- Rome would be the best. Easy airports (both) and unlimited train schedules to other cities if you want to leave Rome. There is enough to do in Rome for 4 days but you could easily take days trips to other cities...Florence is about 3hrs away by train, Venice is 6hrs (overnight), Tuscany is only a few hours away. There isn't enough to do in Milan to keep you busy for 4 days and it's not close enough to anything exciting if you get bored.
- Try yahoo travel for the air tickets and you take the plane to ROME. Yes Rome I said. It's charming. The city is not very crowded that time of the year because the italians are on vacation. I need to let you know about pick-pocketing in Rome. Be carefull. Use a sealed bag. Here the tips for Rome : http://www.travelmanual.info/visiting-rome.php Hope we helped. Regards, Alex
- So many questions with so many replies possible...but why not surfing to www.europahotels.nl more than hotels only. This site has the opportunities to compare flight tickets (both a European and an American database) or see the prices of KLM. Regarding hotels you have to surf to the city of your desire and list the hotel opportunities from pretty cheap to pretty expensive...or around a touristic attraction area.
