How much would a week long trip to Italy cost? My mom has had a hard life and went through so much to provide for me and my 3 brothers growing up. On top of that, she was a single mom. But she did a wonderful job and has always been a great mother. What she couldn't give us in material things she made up for w/ love. Now that I'm grown, married and finished with college, I want to give back to her. It has always been a life dream of my mom's to visit Italy. I want to take her there. My husband and I are planning on starting a family within the next few years and I want to take my mom (just her and I) to Italy before we have children. How much should I expect to save for the trip? I can't afford anything posh but just staying in a holiday inn would be great!! lol. (we will spending most of our time outside of the hotel anyway). What would be the best part of Italy to visit? How much should I expect to spend (I need to start saving). I just want a wonderful mother-daughter vacation with my mom.

Why did Italy perform so poorly in WW2? This is a serious question. They did well enough against the Ethiopians in 1936 and in the Spanish Civil War. What happened after that? It seems that they botched every single operation and engagement in WW2. Why? Don't diss Ethiopia. They were the only country next to Liberia that managed to avoid colonization until 1936. In Africa, that is. They are natural born fighters.

Holiday Itinerary for Italy and Places to see ??? I wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction about the best way to spend the day in Italy. I'm travelling early in the morning from Luton, UK to Bergamo, Italy & will get back by late in the night. So just a one single day. I'll be flying to Italy's Bergamo airport by 10am. Presently, I hope to catch a bus from Bergamo airport to Bergamo Railway station & head straight to Milan's Central railway station and spend the day sight-seeing there. I'm rather unsure however, as if the places that's worth seeing in Milan is in fact AROUND this Central railway station OR would we have to go to some other part of the city. If so, how could we do so ? Furthermore, the road maps over the Internet says Milan is ONLY 6-8 miles away from Venice city. If this is true, how do we go to Venice (after spending 4-5 hr. in Milan). To get back, we're hoping to, if we go to Venice as well, come back to Milan & then catch a train back to Bergamo. Any help towards Itinerary or places to see? Could anyone also mention the ways we could travel along with distance and time it takes, plus the price guide? Which train or bus to catch & from where & how? Alongside, any recommendation on places to see in Bergamo itself (if we decide to spend time there), Milan and Venice (especially, if its really very close to Milan city? By the way, is there really two different city as Milan AND Milano OR is this simply a local name for the city of Milan ??? How about Venice ???

Travelling to Italy for £0.44 ONLY? I wonder if anyone could possibly enlighten me with anything I should be aware of, if I'm heading from Luton airport to Bergamo airport in Italy through Ryanair in June. I'm hoping to get to Bergamo by 10am & then thinking to take a train to Milan city, spend the whole day there & get back to the Bergamo airport by night & back to the UK. 1. Is there any language problem that I might struggle with, however, I should imagine Milan being a metropolitan city should have numbers of people speaking English. 2. How much the fare would be to travel from Bergamo airport to Bergamo railway station by bus (which I imagine needs catching straight outside the Bergamo airport). 3. What's the best way to catch a train from Bergamo railway station to Milan railway station & what's the fare like & the time it could take to get to Milan & how about the rush hour & chances of actually GETTING the ticket in first place. 4. Is it feasible though to travel to & see Milan in one single day?

All-Girls Vacation to Italy Suggestions? 3 of my friends and I are trying to plan an all-girls vacation to Italy (probably next summer). Since none of us have been, we don't really know where to start. We're in our 30's, 2 of us are married, 2 single. We will probably go for a week. We'd like to stay somewhere nice, maybe take a cooking class one afternoon, and just relax and party a little! We are looking for suggestions of where to visit, where to stay, where/what to eat, what not to miss, etc. What cities/towns are "must sees"? Which ones do we want to skip? This will probably be our only chance to go and we don't want to miss anything if we can help it! Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions you can give!!
Should I contact my ex in Italy? My ex and I broke up last summer because she went to Study Abroad in Italy. We had talked about this well in advanced and decided it was the best thing to do for the both of us. Before she left she said she would probably want to be single when she came back so she could really focus on her own goals and finish college. I was fine with that and thought I could move on too. I never anticipated I'd miss her so much and want to get back together with her. I've kept contact with her over emails and sometimes chatting, but I'm the one that almost always initiates the chat ( I think she did once). When we chat it's like we're the great friends we were, and she doesn't ignore me or anything. I want to keep contacting her and eventually get back together with her. I've talked to her verball once while she was away and it was great, she said she missed me. But that was a while ago and I feel shes changed, should I contact her again or just wait until she gets back to talk things out?

I met a man through military singles.com. How can I find out if he is legit? This man was claiming that he was a match for me. Claimed to live in Italy because he was in the navy, yet I was not able to find anything true about him. He's even sent me flowers through an online florist. He's talk to me on the phone, yet something just doesn't seem right about him. He claimed to be coming to my state and wanted to see me, yet all of a sudden he said he caught malaria. I have an email contact, and two pictures but it doesn't mean it's him. How can I find out if he is who he say he is? When he knows I'm suspicious of him he stops writing for a while then starts up again with his phony excuses.

Do I pack my bags and move from the U.S. to Italy with my 15 year old daughter and her pet potbelly pig? Currently, I am an english language arts teacher in the states looking to leasehold an english language school abroad. The school is being offered as a turnkey opportunity along with a cottage to live in ...375,000 euro for all. I have spoken to my daughter and she is up for the adventure. Still, I have some concerns. I do not speak Italian! I have researched many teaching opportunities abroad and they state that speaking the language is not required. In fact they mention not speaking the language of the students will force them to learn english faster. My U.S. credit score is less than favorable but I've read this may not be an issue if I leasehold the property and that my credit history won't follow me. In addition, the school is said to be profitable and well known in the area. Thus, obtaining agreement from the local banks should not be a problem. Of course this is what the current owner states. I want so much to be done with my humdrum life here in the states. Life is no longer fun. The bills keep coming and money is short. I hear teachers of english make a good living overseas. With a dissapointing love life and no child support ever! ...I am more than ready to hit the road. My daughter could benefit a great deal overseas! I just don't want to be impulsive and regret it. However, how long do I wait to experience what life has to offer? I am 37 now and all I've ever been is a single parent, a student, an employee or a girlfriend to some disappointing jerk. This is my time! Isn't it now or never? Opinions please.
