When dating an Italian man.......? Do the same customs apply as dating an American man? I mean, if he takes you home to mama does that mean you are something special? What are the differences....if there are any. Thanks! lol, Birdy its true....but I when I went to Italy 3 years ago I loved their food also

Italians, is it customary for your daughters to be chaparoned on dates? My son is marrying an italian girl. When they go on dates, they have to have a chaparone. Is this customary or could her parents be over-protective. They are both 19. I feel as though they are responsible adults able to make their own decisions. Am I missing something here? If you know about Italian customs, can you please tell me if this is normal in the italian culture. It sounds lovely but terribly out-dated IMO. ta

Moral dilemma girl friend and things, sex? Hey, So me and my gf have been dating for awhile, and I am having some serious moral dilemmas. She slept with 9 guys including me, and I have just slept with her. Shes only a year older, and weve been sharing past experiences and its just becoming hard for to understand exactly what sex means for girls. Her first time, she was raped, so in order to get over that she slept with another guy, and so forth. It sounds like she s slept with all the guys she remotely liked in the past. And then some of them she didnt even like. I havent sex before her because its has a little more meaning in my opinion. Shes italian and grew up in an "american" house hold, wheres I am "indian", and grew up with customs in which girls dont have much free dom to do that stuff. Plus sex is against my Religion before marriage. I mean I love her, and we are happy together but it still bothers me, but on the same token now adays girls have sex all the time, so it isnt even like my gf is any different, other girls are in same situation where they have sex with multiple guys and even sometimes with guys they havnt cared for. All of these happened with her, before we became intimate and close so I dont feel like I should have hard feelings but it still does bother me. Any thoughts are appreciated.
